Commissioned in 1983, Kamuzu International Airport lies south of the equator at latitude 134700S and longitude 0334639E in the central part warm heart of Africa.

At 4029 feet elevation above sea level, the airport is 20.4 km (11 NM) North of Lilongwe City.

Kamuzu International Airport has a sub-tropical climate all year round, with an average temperature of 28ᵒc.

Chileka International Airport

Located in the Southern part of Malawi and 13 km North of Blantyre City, Chileka International Airport is the oldest airport in Malawi.

Chileka International Airport lies south of the equator at latitude 154047S and longitude 0345803E.

The airport stands at 2555 feet elevation above sea level.
